Chapter of Theta Chi. He attended St. Edward High School in Lakewood, OH. He was President of his Pledge Class and was VP of Rush in the fraternity. The chapter enjoyed tremendous new membership numbers during this 1987-1988 period, thanks in large part to a new house on Main Street. John went into sales out of BGSU and enjoyed a series of advances in publishing sales and management positions. He is currently an owner of a small business in suburban Cleveland. Harbor Communications publishes magazines, runs websites and produces in-person events in the golf country club space as well as in niche retail channels. Being a part of Theta Chi provided real life practical experience in the college environment relating to working collaboratively with others. It offered the opportunity to hold leadership positions at a very young age. More importantly it fostered life-long friendships that have provided the foundation of some of his most important networks. Joining Theta Chi is one of the best decisions John Petersen ever made.
